We are seeking a Software QA Engineer to test software written by developers, troubleshoot issues and ensure software is ready for a pre-deployment environment. JOB REQUIREMENTS Develop, execute and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts. Perform data validation, MS SQL Server back-end testing and manual website functional testing. Ability to write SQL queries, read stored procedures and understand relational databases. Document and evaluate test results and defects, track and manage defects and work with Development team and business to troubleshoot issues. Provide testing estimates for assigned work. Not required, but nice to have: Experience with automated testing with tools such as Selenium, Telerik Test Studio or similar tools. Familiarity with web technologies such as ASP.Net Core, MVC, Angular, Kendo, etc. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to work independently and collaboratively Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate highly complex and technical requirements to all levels of the organization as well as to the customer base Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Working knowledge and/or ability to acquire and use to use industry standard information technology and systems to fulfill all aspects of job requirements BA/BS from an accredited 4-year college or university or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years professional work experience in a software QA environment Experience with web automated testing tools Experience with cable and telecommunications industries helpful Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Powerpoint, especially Excel) We offer a fast-paced, dynamic work environment along with our competitive pay and benefits.
